System Administrator (PDARS)

The Position

ATAC has an opening for a full-time mid-level System Administrator. The successful candidate will provide system administration support for the Performance Data Analysis and Reporting System (PDARS), a system for the collection, analysis and reporting of aviation performance measurements. The focus of this position will be on setup, deployment, performance monitoring, maintenance/upgrade, and troubleshooting/problem resolution of 150+ mostly Windows-based PDARS computers. Responsibilities will include:

  • Setup, configure, test and deploy Windows-based computers
  • Monitor computer systems operations; ensure system availability and data integrity
  • Develop and maintain system and process documentation, including inventory tracking
  • Provide level-one user support by phone and email

A background check will be required for this position.

Qualifications

ATAC is looking for career-minded people with the potential to grow professionally and advance into positions of greater technical responsibility. Required attributes include:

  • Bachelor’s college degree
  • 3-5 years experience in PC/desktop installation, configuration, support and administration in Windows domain environment (XP, 7 and 10)
  • PC installation/configuration/troubleshooting skills including network setup and printers
  • Experience with Windows Server (2008 and 2012) Active Directory environment; user account support; Group Policy
  • Experience with LAN/WAN technology, connectivity and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Windows IIS/FTP server and its directory structure
  • 1-2 years experience with central storage (NetApp)
  • 1-2 years experience with virtualization (VMWare/Citrix)
  • Experience with PERL scripting, LINUX administration, Microsoft System Management Server/System Center Configuration Manager, Blade (Cisco UCS), and Windows SQL server
  • Good written and oral communication skills and interpersonal relations skills
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent residency
